After Prom 2007

Well I worked another After Prom last weekend and check out some of the photos. Yes, these figures are from the great Figure Maker, Dan Payes. They were the life of the Party.

I read your comment about "trash" being sold on ebay. I'm sorry Mr. Harris. I don't make trash. I make beginners puppets that I sell on ebay. I have been doing it for longer than you have been a ventriloquist. 30 years and counting. I make stage figures as well, but I get the price I want for those. Ebay is a flea market where people try to get things on the cheap. I sell my "trash" as you call it for below what other sites charge for just a plain old conversion figure. My prices are very fair for the amount of work I put into them. Everyone who has purchased one has been happy with it. The certificate is more for the children than anyone else. It always has been. How many vent figures have you made Mr Harris? I have made over 100 full size figures and more than 500 conversion figures over the years. I don't make junk and I stand behind what I make. It's a shame people like you have to trash people in forums. I guess it makes you feel superior. Your not Mr. Harris. You put your pants on the same way I do every morning. The vent community is small and slowly disappearing. One of my reasons for making conversion figures is to give children something other than a charlie or a mortimer. Their parents buy them for them and they are happy with them. When they are ready, if they decide to go further, they buy a stage figure. Don't call peoples hard work junk especially if you have never owned one. It is slanderous and cruel. We as vents and figure makers are supposed to help each other and get more people interested in this dying art so it doesn't go to the wayside, not put eachother down. Thats why I am sending this to you through your blog not in a public forum.
